Ben Henry (he/him)

Ben is a risk and compliance specialist with extensive experience working with major financial services institutions, including superannuation funds, banks, investment managers, and insurers. Ben has worked as a lawyer with MinterEllison and in Deloitte’s Financial Services Risk Advisory practice. Ben is currently a Manager in Hostplus’ Risk Assurance division.

Ben grew up in a rural country town and struggled to reconcile with his sexuality. His experiences have driven his passion for LGBTQIA+ advocacy, visibility and empowerment through education. As a previous scholarship recipient, Ben also feels strongly about the importance of The Pinnacle Foundation’s purposes and joined the Management Team in 2019.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts (Criminology & Psychology) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Melbourne. Ben has led corporate fundraising, coordinated pro bono legal programs and volunteered as a policy adviser for a variety of LGBTQIA+ organisations.
