Han Worsley is a passionate educator, gender equality and LGBTIQA+ advocate, and public speaker. Growing up on the family farm north of Nullamanna NSW, population 40, has driven Han’s passion for rural and remote communities. 

 

Supported by Pinnacle as a scholar from 2017 – 2021, Han has experienced first-hand the value of community, mentorship, and financial stability for queer students, and has used this privilege to continue a lifetime of volunteering and community building. Han is the current CEO of Country to Canberra, a national not-for-profit dedicated to empowering young rural women and non-binary people to reach their leadership potential. They also speak regularly for eminent organisations including Women in Leadership Australia, the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation, and the Australian National University. Han was named ACT Canberra’s Community Champion Under 40, and in Out For Australia’s 30 under 30 Awards in 2021. Han has also been awarded an Australian Institute of Company Directors Women’s Rural, Regional, and Remote Diversity Scholarship for 2022. 

 

Han recently graduated from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor of Primary Education (STEM) and the Chancellor’s Commendation Award for the highest GPA across their degree. They now live and work on Ngarigo country in Jindabyne, NSW. They are proud to contribute to and learn from the Pinnacle Foundation’s incredible network and programs.
