Zoe (she/her)

Hi, I’m Zoe, and I’m in my second year of a Bachelor of Computer Science majoring in Cyber Security at Monash University, planning to graduate in 2027. I chose cybersecurity because it’s such an ever-evolving field, there’s always something new to learn, and I love the idea of protecting people and organisations from online threats. I’m especially interested in blue-team work (which is defensive security), and incident response, where I can help prevent and contain attacks before they cause harm. I also enjoy learning about the offensive side of security to better understand how systems can be protected.

Beyond university, I’m passionate about personal growth and using my skills to make technology safer and more inclusive. I’ve really valued the opportunities I’ve had through the Pinnacle Foundation to connect with mentors, develop my confidence, and speak at events that support inclusion and diversity in STEM.

Outside of study, I love spending time with my pets, my birds Milo and Neo and our border force dog, Penny (look into the foster program!). I enjoy listening to music, reading, finding new shows to watch, and working on creative projects, from making jewellery to building small coding projects in my spare time.

I’m grateful to the Pinnacle Foundation for supporting me through my studies and helping me build both professional and personal confidence within a community that genuinely cares.
