Xanthe (she/her)

Hello! My name is Xanthe, and in 2024 I will be completing my final year of my Bachelor of Midwifery at Griffith University. The Bachelor of Midwifery is a demanding program, making progressing through my degree one of my proudest achievements. I am incredibly passionate about maternity care, and the positive effects that can arise from women and birthing people receiving care that is supportive and validating of their background, families, and personal experiences.

A goal I have in my future career is to be able to work with queer families as well as building awareness and capability within the maternity system to provide culturally safe care to rainbow families. I applied for a Pinnacle Foundation scholarship as I could see that my personal goals aligned closely with the purpose of The Pinnacle Foundation.

Becoming a Pinnacle scholar is an amazing opportunity because of the support it will provide me to complete my course while developing a professional network to help achieve my career goals.
