Hello, my name is William. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra and just completed my second year so halfway through my four-year degree.

I am working towards a major in Astrophysics as this is what I hope to pursue a career in, with the aim to understand as much of the universe as I can. I grew up on a farm on the rural south coast of New South Wales where many a clear night is what first drew my interest and fuelled my passion for space.

I have always enjoyed surfing, tennis, skiing and since moving away from the coast settled for any kind of exploration or travel, I have been able to do over the last two years.

To be honest I never thought that I would be lucky enough to become a Pinnacle scholar so I cannot express enough my thanks and gratitude to both The Pinnacle Foundation and Maurice Joyce Scholarship Fund for this amazing opportunity and support.
