Vincent (he/him)

Bachelor of Environment and Sustainability (Advanced) (Honours)/Bachelor of Music

ACT

My name’s Vincent, I’m gay, my pronouns are he/him, and as a Pinnacle Scholar in 2024, I’ll be a second year (of four) studying a double degree in environment and sustainability, and music (violin performance). I’m studying on Ngunnawal and Ngambri land at ANU campus, and I’m actually from Wiradjuri country in regional NSW, (I actually speak a little, yamandu marang! (how’re you?))

My career goals are twofold; I want to work in a major orchestra as concertmaster, as well as contribute greatly in the field of sustainability. To tell you a little about me is to say I have a lot of interests, such as gardening, studying macropods, and watching anime. I play violin, viola and piano, and I adore classical and new music. I listen to mostly classical music (I love Saint-Saens), Vocaloid, South-Asian bossa nova, and alternative artists like Jockstrap and Clipping!

I applied to Pinnacle so I could spend more time learning, and improving my music skills and ability in the field of my major, quantitative environmental modelling. I also wanted to meet more LGBTQIA+ role models, both peers and seniors, who will inspire me to do more for our community.
