Laura (she/her)

Hello, my name is Laura. In 2024, I will commence a double Bachelor of Medical Science and Bachelor of Arts degree at the Australian National University in Canberra which will take four years to complete. I am keenly interested in public health and epidemiology as it is a field grounded in both scientific understanding and social advocacy, and I hope to use my bachelor’s degrees as a pathway to this field. I believe that for public health policy to be effective, medical professionals must actively seek to challenge medical biases that discriminate against or exclude LGBTQIA+ people from receiving effective care.

In my career in health and medicine, my goal is to help provide better services to the queer community through the support of The Pinnacle Foundation community.
