Kimberly (she/her)

I am excited to become a Pinnacle Foundation scholar in 2024! I am studying a Bachelor of Criminology, majoring in White-collar and Corporate Crime and Asian Cultures and Societies at Murdoch University. I am a transgender woman coming from regional Western Australia, and in 2024 I will be continuing my full-time study through an honours project on white-collar crime. Recently one of my most exciting moments has been winning an academic excellence award from Murdoch University, which recognised my study achievements and commitment over the last three years.

My goals in life are to gain employment in the anti-fraud sector investigating and stopping financial crime to help make the community a safer place, and to represent transgender people in a visible community role. In achieving these, I applied for a Pinnacle Foundation scholarship to gain mentorship and support from a foundation which has helped many in the LGBTQIA+ community, and I thank Jessica Bastow immensely for her contribution to my studies.
