Jessie (she/her)

My name is Jessie and I am about to start my final year of the Doctor of Medicine at the University of Queensland. I am originally from Dalby (a small town 2.5 hours west of Brisbane), moved to Brisbane to attend high school and university, and now I am based at the UQ Rural Clinical School in Toowoomba. During my studies, I have been heavily involved in health advocacy through the Australian Federation of Medical Women and the Australian Medical Students’ Association.

I am planning to pursue haematology or oncology as a speciality once I graduate. Outside of clinical work, I am excited to get involved in medical education and continue to advocate for more culturally safe healthcare for marginalised groups.
