Harrison (he/him)

Hi, my name is Harrison. I am a medical student at The University of Melbourne. As of 2024, I am currently living in Ballarat for my rural clinical placement with my expected graduation date being the end of 2026. I am a Tasmanian native, having moved to Melbourne in 2021 for my degree (after a brief stint in 2020 cut short by COVID).

When not studying, I love to read, play board games, spend time with my friends and perform – specifically dancing and in musicals. My proudest moments so far have all been academically inclined – two highlights being the winner of 2019 Youth Auctioneer through the REIA/REIT and getting into my medicine degree.

As the first person in my family to attend university, having the opportunity to gain two degrees (the first being my undergraduate in Biomedicine) is such an honour. I applied for the Pinnacle scholarship program because I want to be able to focus my energy on becoming the best medical professional I can be, and the support and funding that Pinnacle provides are a massive help in achieving that goal. My aspirations include specialising, and raising a family back in Tasmania when I am (much) older!
