Eva (she/her)

Hi! My name is Eva. I’m extremely appreciative of the opportunity to study with the assistance of The Pinnacle Foundation. In 2024 I will be starting a three year Bachelor of Music and Sound Design at the University of Technology Sydney city campus.

Being a transgender woman in primarily online musical spaces has helped me to understand the impact of the media we consume on our identities and worldviews. Our gender expression, sexuality and disability can hold intersectional qualities within the art we absorb and create, and this is why music is so important to my identity.

I used to live in a rather conservative country town where I felt afraid to be myself. Being awarded a scholarship with The Pinnacle Foundation is an opportunity to live, learn and create my own way, becoming involved in my community and breaking down a lot of barriers that previously held me back!
