Hello! I am studying a Bachelor of Social Work at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) on the Kelvin Grove Campus.

I come from the Sunshine Coast, in an area of about 5,000 people (as of the 2016 census). It is inner-rural, so we see both cows and transphobic bumper stickers on the roads.

I aspire to work within the LGBTIQ+ community as a social worker, supporting anyone from youth looking for a safe place to go, to elderly people looking for an accepting retirement home.

I am incredibly grateful to The Lewis Foundation for funding my scholarship, and I really hope to be able to get the most out of it and do the absolute best I can with my career as a result. I honestly believe I will be able to achieve more with the support of this scholarship and the Pinnacle mentorship programme than I could have on my own, so thank you, very much, for providing me with that opportunity.
