The Board of The Pinnacle Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Staite as the new CEO of the Foundation, following Janine Middleton’s decision to retire, effective 1st July, 2019.
Andrew has been with Pinnacle since 2016, when he commenced as a Non-Executive Director. Since joining the Board, Andrew has demonstrated a great passion and commitment for the Foundation and to the LGBTIQ+ community. Andrew is a Cornerstone donor to the Foundation, a member of its Victorian Committee, where he has taken a lead role with fundraising for the Foundation, and Chair of the Foundation’s People, Remuneration and Nomination Committee. Andrew has been integral in supporting the Foundation’s continued growth, providing strategic and policy leadership to position the Foundation for a sustainable future.
Over the past year, Janine Middleton has made significant contributions to the leadership, operations and management of the Foundation. Janine has played a central role in achieving and growing the endowment fund, ensuring the Foundation’s vision of doubling the endowment fund by 2020 remains on track. She also established the major fund-raising event “A Night of a Thousand Dinners” which was an achievement in driving donor participation and engagement. Under Janine’s stewardship, The Pinnacle Foundation has created a strong national base for its program, with renewed state and territory committees, a refreshed scholarship program and improved operations and governance. We are pleased that Janine will continue her involvement with The Pinnacle Foundation, through the Foundation’s NSW Committee.
On behalf of the Board, Paul Zahra, Chair of The Pinnacle Foundation said: “We thank Janine for her efforts and warmly wish her all the very best in her retirement. We look forward to her continuing contribution as a volunteer on the NSW Committee.”
On Andrew Staite’s appointment, Paul adds: “Andrew has already made a significant contribution to the Foundation and the LGBTIQ+ community over the years. We are very fortunate to be able to appoint someone of his calibre to the role of CEO, ensuring we have a smooth transition and to lead the Foundation’s growth.”
“I am excited by the opportunity to lead The Pinnacle Foundation and I look forward to taking the Foundation into its next stage of growth, while continuing to encourage and support disadvantaged LGBTIQ+ youth”, Andrew Staite replied.
