Scholar and Mentor Manager
Sam (they/them) is a community development and wellbeing professional with a background in LGBTIQ+ mental health and youth empowerment. Based in Naarm (Melbourne), they have worked extensively across areas of higher education, primary health care, not-for-profits and charity sectors.
With post-graduate qualifications in narrative therapy and community work, their experience includes working directly with LGBTIQ+ individuals, groups and communities to improve health and wellbeing outcomes. Sam is also a board member of the Zoe Belle Gender Collective, a peak organisation for trans and gender diverse inclusive practice.
As Scholar & Mentor Manager, they support scholars on their journey through higher education, ensuring their wellbeing, connection to community, and identify and foster quality relationships with our distinguished mentors.
Sam is a passionate volunteer in the wildlife sector and is dedicated to conservation relating to endangered Grey Headed Flying Foxes and other native Australian flora and fauna.
