Kate enjoyed a 30-year career in financial services that closely paralleled the evolution of Australia’s modern regulatory framework. She commenced her professional life as a Paralegal at Allens (then Allen, Allen & Hemsley) before joining Zurich Financial Services, where she remained for many years and was ultimately appointed Australian Head of Compliance.

Her career later expanded into senior governance and executive leadership roles across private and public firms. Kate was appointed Head of Governance at DKN Financial Group (now part of Insignia Financial), became the inaugural Managing Director of Pathway Licensee Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Netwealth, and later served as Head of Risk & Legal at UniSuper. Most recently, Kate was a compliance and conduct subject matter expert at KPMG, where she continued her career until retiring at the end of 2023.

Kate’s connection to The Pinnacle Foundation is deeply personal. She understands firsthand the profound impact that education, mentorship and belief can have on a young person’s sense of possibility. She is passionate about helping the next generation of LGBTQIA+ Australians access opportunity without having to choose between authenticity and ambition.

Outside of her professional commitments, Kate is most at home on the water and is a keen boater with a love of travel.
