Annie Johnston

Annie has an extensive background in the banking and finance sector, having worked in the industry for the past 25 years. Annie has been with the Commonwealth Bank for ten years. She leads the Local Government Banking Group across Western Australia.

Annie joined Pinnacle’s Western Australian Committee in June 2017 and moved into the Chair role in 2018. Prior to her involvement with Pinnacle, Annie was the Western Australian Lead for Commonwealth Bank’s LGBTIQ+ group, Unity. Annie continues her involvement with Unity as a Local Lead.

Annie has a strong passion for the Indigenous community which was strengthened through her leadership of Commonwealth Bank’s Indigenous Banking pilot program. This pilot was successful, and the program has now become a national banking segment. Annie was also part of the Reconciliation WA Advisory Committee, as well as West Australians for Constitutional Recognition, run by Reconciliation WA.

Annie has completed studies in Social Impact. She is passionate about equality within our community and most particularly, the LGBTIQ+ community.
