Tully Connor (she/her)
Bachelor of Arts/Master of Public Policy and Leadership - Griffith university
Shell Scholarship, QLD
Hello! My name is Tully, I currently live in Brisbane after spending the first 15 years of my life in central Queensland and in 2026, I am hoping to commence a vertical degree of Bachelor of Arts (History) and Master of Public Policy and Leadership at Griffith University.
I have always dreamed of being a historian, and hope to continue on to get my PhD after I graduate. I want to use my degree to use stories to make people feel seen and heard. Ideally, I would do this in the Australian Public Service. It is well known I am a government nerd, and I have been since I was a little kid!
One of the things I am most proud of is my involvement in community, and my ability to connect to people. I am a member of the Australian Federal Civic Engagement Youth Advisory Group, a leader of various in-school charity groups and a member of the Executive of the GirlUp Brisbane charter.
I strive to be the person that my own community, who I love more than anything, can turn to, in whatever form that takes. My monthly “Cozy Boardgame Night” meetups are a highlight for me, and I hope my community. I am so proud to be a Pinnacle scholar, and I thank Shell for giving me the opportunity to focus on my studies in the coming years! I am so thankful for the opportunity to become who I needed to see as a little girl.
