Hello, I am Tommy. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts at Monash University, which I aim to complete by the end of 2029. I have lived in Melbourne all my life, so it felt very fitting that I learned about receiving the Pinnacle scholarship while sitting on a busy tram. 

Like many law students, my interest in studying law was first sparked by a television series—The Good Wife in my case. Since then, I have come to truly appreciate the combination of analysis, persuasion, and advocacy that law offers. Within my Arts degree, I have focused on politics and journalism. My passion for these fields began with my daily habit of reading the politics section of The Age on my way to school, and that enthusiasm has only grown since starting university. 

I enjoy following elections across Australia and around the world, and I even had the opportunity to count ballots for the Australian Electoral Commission during the 2025 Federal Election. One of the most rewarding aspects of my studies has been discovering the significant and consistent crossover between my two degrees. I look forward to forging a career that combines both areas of interest. 

Outside of my studies, I enjoy binge-watching television shows, going to the cinema, and predicting the Academy Awards. I also have a strong interest in theatre, debating, Model United Nations, and mooting.
