Siobhan (she/her)

Hello! My name is Siobhan and I will be completing my 4th year of the Bachelor of Nursing and Public Health at QUT Kelvin Grove in 2025. I am super excited because I am getting close to finishing (expecting to graduate in 2026) and I will finally be able to live my dream of helping others and follow in the footsteps of my grandmother and aunty who are leaders in the nursing world.

My proudest moment so far is being able to get into university and come as far as I have, as the girl who graduated high school back in 2018 would definitely not believe how far I have come. I have lived a long life of having others put me down, and a complete lack of self-confidence, so this is definitely a great achievement for me.

I applied to The Pinnacle Foundation scholarship as I want to be able to focus more on my studies and achieve even more throughout university (because I know I can). I also hope being surrounded by a community I share a connection with will help me improve my confidence and be my best self.

I hope to look back on moments like these and be proud of where I have come from and how far I have been able to get just by being me, and I want to share that courage and power with as many people as I can through my healthcare career.
