“My world’s been flipped on its head this year, and without the support of Pinnacle it wouldn’t have been possible.”

I’ve been able to move away from regional SA to be closer to hospital and end the 3 hour commute I’d been making every day for the previous 4 years. By gaining the financial independence to move I’m finally able to live freely, openly and honestly as a queer person.

The scholarship will allow me to focus on my clinical placement wholeheartedly, without the burden of finances, my identity, my family relationships and my living situation pulling at my ankles.

In 2019 with the support of the pinnacle family I hope to no longer just ‘survive’ but to at last truly ‘thrive’.
