Nursing & Behavioual Science

QLD

Mitchell will be undertaking first year studies at Queensland University of Technology in the Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Behavioural Science, Kelvin Grove and Gardens Point campus in 2021. Growing up in rural far North Queensland with a burning passion to help make people’s lives better, one day at a time. My life aspiration is to pursue a career in nursing while striving to make a difference in the lives of others.

I am extremely passionate about helping people when they are unable to help themselves. I want to learn the foundations of nursing and building blocks of learning how the human mind functions and reacts to stimuli. Wondering what to do with my life, knowing that I have always wanted to help others, I found a degree that combined psychology with the practice of nursing. These in conjunction complement each other like salt and pepper. Childhood is the most important and life changing portion of everyone’s life. As you can craft, shape and make clear the potential of every child’s values and aspirations in life to further motivate them to do what they love in life. The combination of these degrees will enable me to work in a large variety of job roles that I am extremely passionate about, that include, yet are not limited to mental health nursing, community health nursing, child protection officers, youth workers, counsellors and guidance officers.
