Maddie Morris (she/her)

Hello, my name is Maddie, and I am deeply grateful to be joining The Pinnacle Foundation as I enter my third year of a Bachelor of Primary Education. I began my studies in 2024 and look forward to completing my degree at the end of 2027. 

My decision to pursue education came after much reflection and the valuable experiences I gained after finishing school. Working as a governess on a cattle station sparked my passion for teaching and inspired me to build a career that makes a lasting impact on children’s learning. Coming from a rural background, I feel especially connected to education in remote communities and aspire to work either in rural schools or with School of the Air, an organisation that provides vital access to education for children in isolated areas. This goal holds deep personal meaning for me, as my own family and community have long relied on these services. 

In 2024, I moved from a sheep station in South Australia to Adelaide to study full-time, marking a significant transition in my life. Between finishing school in 2020 and beginning university, I worked across rural South Australia and the Northern Territory, experiences that shaped my independence, resilience, and passion for supporting young learners in diverse environments.
