The Reg Holloway Scholarship for 2020 has been awarded to Lili Murtagh (born in 1998, from Queensland).
Lili has completed a Bachelor of Music at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane in 2019 and will go on to do a Masters of Teaching at either Queensland University of Technology in 2020. She is an outstanding student achieving Distinctions and High Distinctions in most of her subjects.
Lili has always been involved in music and during her high school years, her very small music class was her oasis. She began song writing to process her emotions, thoughts and feelings. Lili went into her Bachelor of Music with a dream to be able to teach music. She has enjoyed her undergraduate course thoroughly and has learned a great deal about music theory and has had many opportunities to perform as part of her degree.
In terms of her community engagement Lili stated that she “is the store representative for the Equal Rights Initiative in Woolworths; a campaign that supports equal rights and fair treatment for the LGBTIQ+ community in the workplace. I have also participated and mentored at two ‘Girls Rock’ wor
