Jayden Younan (he/him)

Hello! My name is Jayden, and I have the honour of being the 2026 recipient of the King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) Scholarship. 2026 will be my fourth year at the University of Sydney (USYD) studying a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and a Bachelor of Laws. I chose to pursue this double degree as I am passionate about how the inner workings of government, economics and law collectively work to shape our society.

Since finishing high school, I have supported myself throughout university, managing the demands of part-time work while also navigating periods of rental stress and hardship. My experiences have affirmed to me the lingering disadvantage impacting LGBTQIA+ people, and shown me the importance of care and compassion in day-to-day life. As such, it fills me with solace now having the help of a transformative organisation like The Pinnacle Foundation.

When I graduate, I hope to pursue a career in law, with international law, public law and commercial law being areas of interest. However, I am also deeply interested in economics and hope to one day intersect these areas of passion.

I feel a deep sense of gratitude to be joining The Pinnacle Foundation, and am sincerely thankful to KWM. I am inspired by the example KWM sets for the broader legal community.
