Freja (she/her)

Hi, I am Freja and I am currently entering my second year of Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Curtin University and I will be graduating in 2025. Once I graduate, I hope to specialise in emergency medicine or general practice, but I also am very excited to explore all the different options and specialities that medicine provides.

Through research and volunteer work with high school students all around Western Australia in 2021 I have also found I am very interested in youth health education (which includes sex education, alcohol, drugs, and mental health education) and how this goes on to impact health literacy and outcomes. This is an area I am extremely passionate about and would love to contribute further to, both in research and in practice as a doctor, with a focus on LGBTIQ+ health.

I am so incredibly grateful and appreciative to receive the Olrem Scholarship, and to be part of such an amazing community of Pinnacle scholars and the Pinnacle team.
