Hello! My name is Fleur, and it is an exceptional honour to have The Pinnacle Foundation’s support as I enter the first year of my medical degree pathway in 2025.

Having grown up in rural Western Queensland, I have witnessed firsthand the healthcare disparities faced by rural and regional communities. My experiences as an intern at the local hospital have deeply motivated me to pursue a career in medicine so that I can return to my community and work towards improving access to healthcare services. With the support of this scholarship, I aspire not only to help people through my medical practice, but also to play an active role in advocating for an inclusive society.

I chose to apply for The Pinnacle Foundation scholarship program so that I could connect with a network of like-minded people and an inspiring community that shares my passion for diversity and inclusivity. I would like to say a massive thank you to my scholarship sponsor, Virtus Health, and to The Pinnacle Foundation for providing me with the incredible opportunity to be a Pinnacle scholar. Their support is invaluable and will help me tremendously in achieving both my professional and personal goals.
