Education

WA

Studying my second year of a Bachelor of Education my hope is to become an inspiring Primary School teacher.

I voluntarily manage the non-profit organisation TransFolk of WA – the only peer support service for trans people and their loved ones in Western Australia. In 2018 I undertook specialised suicide prevention training and founded DISCHARGED – Australia’s first ‘Alternatives to Suicide’ peer support group.

The Pinnacle Scholarship has allowed me to undertake further professional training, including developing my knowledge of democratic and progressive education. The Pinnacle professional network has connected me to a national community of inspiring LGBTI people who provide professional insight and empower emerging generations.

In my spare time I like to swim at Perth’s beautiful beaches and collect plants to decorate my home.
