Elyse

For 2020, Elyse Wilson (born 1998, female, from Tasmania) has been granted the Dr. White and Rod Anderson Tasmanian Scholarship. Elyse is currently in her third year of a Medical degree at the University of Tasmania and in 2020 she will be starting to work in the rural clinical school in Burnie.  Elyse enjoys the opportunity to take the baseline degree anywhere including research, public health and global health.

Elyse is the first in family to attend university, this feat is due to her hardworking and enthusiastic nature and her drive.  Elyse has enjoyed her degree very much and has thrived in the communication and problem-solving elements that come with her course work. Elyse’s dedication has meant that her academic results have been consistently solid over the last three years including 2019.

In terms of community engagement Elyse has been involved in the Australian Medical Students Association and in particular the organisation of the Association’s conference held in Hobart.
