Daniel (he/they)

My name is Daniel and in 2025 I will be entering the second year of my dream course at Monash University! I am studying a Bachelor of Engineering, looking at Civil Engineering, and Bachelor of Commerce where I am focusing my studies in Finance. Being accepted into this course was one of my proudest moments as it is incredibly competitive, and I worked very hard to achieve the marks I needed to receive my offer to study.

In the future, I hope to work in finance, focusing on infrastructure or natural resources where my engineering knowledge will be crucial, to help Australia build its future with these critical industries.

Outside of my studies, I am passionate about baking, tennis and helping my family foster dogs.

I applied for a Pinnacle Foundation scholarship for financial support that it can provide to help me achieve my best in university. However, I am also incredibly excited about the chance to expand my network of like-minded LGBTQIA+ students, and mentors and organisations. The scholarship funds will allow me more time to commit to extracurricular activities that build my leadership and technical skills.
