Callahan (he/him)

My name is Callahan, and I’m planning to start a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Computer Science, focusing on artificial intelligence and mechatronics.

I’m from regional Victoria and am moving to Melbourne to undertake my five year degree at Swinburne University in Hawthorn. As both an artist and an aspiring computer scientist and engineer, I aim to forge new standards within the industry for more ethical implementation of machine learning.

My proudest moments have been working on Victoria’s mental health reform as a member of the Youth Affairs Council, winning art contests at my local show and of course, receiving this scholarship.

I’m so proud of myself for making it through and am enthusiastic to commence the next chapter of my life. I applied for a Pinnacle Foundation scholarship to receive support with my career goals and connect with my community. Additionally, this scholarship will reduce the financial strain my education may have, allowing me more opportunity to focus on volunteering and my studies.
