I only realised how difficult the last few years have been after I received a Pinnacle scholarship.

Before I received the scholarship, I was only just getting by financially and I felt as though no one in my medical degree understood what I was going through.

Being able to talk to my mentor about medicine is invaluable, because before now I had never met a doctor like me.

Pinnacle’s financial help has allowed me buy educational equipment that I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to afford. I feel much more confident that I can complete my studies.

I am grateful to Pinnacle for believing in me, and look forward to the day when I can sit across from a young LGBTQIA+ patient and say “I believe in you, too”
