Avalon (she/her)

Hello! My name is Avalon. In 2025 I will be beginning my Masters of Psychology (Forensic) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and will finish as a registered psychologist with the Australian Psychological Society in 2026. I am a proud queer and disabled woman, living and working on Gadigal Land. Outside of study, I am a youth worker in crisis refuges for 12-17 year old youth and a laboratory assistant with the UNSW Forensic Lab.  

I am passionate about child safety and am excited for my studies to further equip me in my goals of working in intelligence and the prevention of child exploitation. I am deeply committed to advocating for vulnerable youth, particularly by addressing systemic factors that contribute to child abuse and exploitation. With postgraduate training and my hands-on experience in youth crisis care and forensic research, I hope to contribute to creating safer environments for children.
