Angela (she/her)

My name is Angela and I am in the final year of my Bachelor of Information Technology, majoring in computer science, minoring in economics at Queensland University of Technology in sunny Brisbane.  

With my bachelors, I want to work collaboratively with folks to build solutions to address problems. Although I’m in my final year of a three-year degree, I’ve been at QUT longer, taking time to work to put myself through school. I’ve never doubted I’d get my degree, but it has always been a question how hard it will be to get to the finish line as a queer woman without familial support.  

The Commonwealth Bank scholarship helps make the journey easier and helps me put my studies first so I can realize my full potential. I believe community is one of the most important things we can build and contribute to as individuals so am beyond honoured to be stepping into 2025 as a member of the Pinnacle family.
