Hello, everyone! My name is Andrea, and I am currently in my fifth year of a double Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Computer Systems Engineering at Edith Cowan University (ECU). Originally from Italy, I moved to Australia to pursue my studies, a journey that has been one of my proudest achievements. My passion for technology and innovation is driven by my desire to address critical global issues, especially environmental damage. I aspire to work on projects that focus on sustainable engineering solutions, hoping to make a tangible impact on preserving our planet for future generations.  

I applied for a Pinnacle Foundation Scholarship because I believe it will provide invaluable support in navigating the engineering field as a gay man, which can sometimes feel isolating. With this scholarship, I hope to gain mentorship, connect with like-minded individuals, and contribute my perspective to make engineering a more inclusive and diverse space.
