Alex (she/her)

My name is Alex, and in 2025 I am entering my second year of my Bachelor of Actuarial Studies and Bachelor of Economics at UNSW. In the future I want to work in finance, specifically on the quantitative side, as this combines my interests with probabilities and math with my passion for economics.  

I have always been extremely interested in financial markets and economics, so I am extremely excited to embark on a career where I learn more about this every day. I aspire to be a part of the change that makes the industry a safer and more equal space for women. This is one of the reasons I chose to apply for a scholarship with The Pinnacle Foundation, as it provides me with access to a diverse communities who have experienced a range of challenges that I may face in my career.  

I am very excited and grateful for the opportunity to be a Pinnacle Scholar, and want to extend my thanks to the Insignia Community Foundation. The support the scholarship provides allows me the opportunity to focus on my studies, and continue to pursue my interests in debating and sport.
