We were privileged and honoured to have our Inaugural Patron The Hon Michael Kirby AC CMG attend, Australian Women’s Cricketer Alex Blackwell, and Olympic Swimmer Daniel Kowalski, who all spoke of their passion for the work that Pinnacle Foundation does and how it dramatically changes our scholars’ lives to enable them to achieve their potential.

The Current Pinnacle Scholars were represented by Caitlyn Georgeson, who is in her 4th year of Law/Arts at the University of Adelaide, and was this year awarded the SBS Student and Rising Star award at the inaugural Australian LGBTI Awards held at the Sydney Opera House, back in March.

As she did in her acceptance at the LGBT awards, Caitlyn told her very honest and emotional story, about the personal challenges in the later years of her secondary and early years at University. She then described how the scholarship, and the support of her Mentor and the Pinnacle family, has helped her to really thrive and gain enormous confidence in both her academic and personal life.

Caitlyn is already on a fantastic trajectory to fully reach her potential. and will be an inspirational leader in whatever she chooses to do after she completes her studies.
